Six of our Leyton Lions from the U14 and U16 squads had an unforgettable experience as ball girls at the England Roses vs. South Africa Proteas match on the final day of the Vitality Netball Nations Cup. The girls played a key role at the Copper Box Arena in ensuring the game ran smoothly.
This was an incredible opportunity for our young players to be part of a world-class event, seeing their netball heroes in action and experiencing the fast-paced intensity of elite competition. It was made even more special by England’s hard-fought victory, securing the Nations Cup title for the first time, in front of a passionate home crowd.
The experience was just as exciting for parents, with one commenting:"Many thanks for today. What an amazing opportunity for them. And England won the final too!"
A huge well done to our Leyton Lions for representing the club with pride on such a big stage! We hope this inspires them to keep working hard and chasing their own netball dreams.
